In collaboration with Te Matatini, Ngā Kapa Haka o Te Matatini is back and headlines the 2023 Hui Ahurei Reo Māori. Showcasing two of Aotearoa’s top kapa haka, Te Matatini joint second place winners Whāngārā Mai Tawhiti and finalists Angitu.
Following the success of our 2022 Te Hui Ahurei Reo Māori and calls from the community for it to continue, our 2023 programme looks to plant a seed for the future and will feature a small collection of arts events from across the City to celebrate Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori.
